Were You There?

2nd Annual Holiday Concert at the Irvington Town Hall Theatre
On Saturday night, December 6th, Rob Evan and Neil Berg
presented the Second Annual Broadway Holiday Concert in Irvington,
NY, at the Town Hall Theatre. The concert benefitted a branch of
the Leukemia Society.
Along with Rob, the audience was treated to a beautiful evening
of music by Brian D'Arcy James, Sean McDermott, Christiane Noll,
Robert Longo, Jeri Sager, Aaron Paul, Doug Storm, and Rita
Harvey. An up and coming young man, Billy Kay, treated the full
house to a great rendition of "If I Were A Rich Man", from the
score of Fiddler. Every performer sang with feeling and passion,
and we were all very fortunate to be there.
And now, to Rob. Rob sang "This Is The Moment," "If I Loved
You" (from Carousel), "Music of the Night" (from POTO), a duet of
"Lily's Eyes'' (from the Secret Garden), with Robert Longo, and a
most magnificent rendition of "Bring Him Home" (from Les
Miserables). I am quite sure that we all know the power and glory
of Rob Evan's voice. We have heard it before, but nothing we have
heard can be compared to the way Rob sang this song! Rob's wife,
son, and mother were in the audience, and Rob sang the song to his
toddler son, Johan. I assure you that there was not a dry eye in
Town Hall, Rob included.
This is the second concert of this Broadway series, and Rob is
hoping to make this a regular holiday happening in Irvington. A
concert like this one is hard work, but when it turns out like
this one did, we all can feel it was worth the time and effort. If
there is a third annual Broadway Holiday Concert, make it your
business to try to get a ticket, you missed a great
evening!
