4th Annual Holiday Concert at the Irvington Town Hall Theatre

The Holiday Concert has come and gone, but the memory, and the music, is still right here in my heart and mind! The annual Holiday Concert was given last night, Dec 3, at the usual venue, The Irvington Town Hall Theatre, to a sold out house!

The cast consisted mostly of the usual "suspects", plus some new additions to the holiday family. In addition to Rob, we had JT Egan, Kelli O'Hara, Alex Santoriello, Danny Zolli, Angela Covington, Rita Harvey, John Patrick Schutz, Bob Mattern, Jodi Langel, Bruce Roberts, and a tap dancing phenom, Jason Bernard. The evening was full of music to jolly anyone's senses, and if the buzz and feedback were any indication, a great time was had by all.

Rob did some new tunes, and he really blew the roof off with his moving and powerful rendition of WHY GOD, from Miss Saigon, and the incredible (!!!) SOLILOQUY from Carousel. His eldest son, Johan, who is 5, sat mesmerized with the rest of us for the entire first act. I gotta say, I don't know who was prouder of whom... Rob of his son, or Johan of his father!

We also had that incredible duet of MOTN with Rob and John Treacy, a glorious Lily's Eyes with Rob and Alex, Gethsemane from Danny, and the whole company did The People's Song from Les Mis as their closer...unexpected comic relief, and a show stopping delay was provided by the Irvington Fire Klaxon, which persisted for a few minutes.

OK, ladies and gentlemen... if you have come to the conclusion that I liked this, YOU ARE CORRECT!

I BID YOU ALL a Joyous Holiday Season, filled with love, health, and happiness among those you love, and who love you in return.
