Were You There?

Leukemia Society of America's Shining Star Award

Well, the "Shining Star" event has come and gone, and it was worth the effort to see Rob at his personable best!

The Shining Star is given to the performer who gives of himself to the cause espoused by the Leukemia Society, that is, working towards a cure for leukemia and other blood disorders. Rob does by visiting children in hospital suffering from the disease. Rob spoke eloquently and simply, and he moved many to tears as he became teary when speaking of how he would feel if his sons were ill and there was no cure for what ailed them due to lack of funds to seek a cure.

Well done, Rob!

Rob sang "Lily's Eyes" with Robert Longo, "From This Day On", and he brought the house down with "Moment". Without seeking trouble or being censorious, I will say as the president of REFC, I wish more of you had participated in this tribute in some small way. You would have been pleased that you did.
