China Club Broadway Series

Tonight, June 14th, was the opening night of the "Broadway Series" at the China Club on 47th Street. Fittingly, Rob Evan was the headliner, ably assisted by Christiane Noll and Lauri Landri, with Neil Berg as the musical director.

That lineup should say it all, but there is so much more.

All of us who are part of the Rob Evan Fan Club know Rob from Jekyll & Hyde or Les Miserables or both, but his talent and his charm easily jumps the footlights and glows in a cabaret setting. He smoothly set the tone of the evening by "casually" not knowing the words to his opening number. He was so good at this that NO ONE will ever know if it was true!!!

The three singers sang a mixed bag of songs, including the Chess duet with Christiane, a different "Dangerous Game" with Lauri, and an awesome and awe-inspiring rendition of "Anthem" that was Rob's closing number.

The China Club room was filled, and that bodes well, if the rest of the series comes off with the same panache and skill.

I do not know when Rob's next gig at this new venue will be, but watch our site right here, for updates. If you can swing it, try to be there the next time.

YOU WILL FEEL THE MAGIC FOR YOURSELF!!!
