The Cabaret at Mohegan Sun

It is Sunday morning and the weather is very cold and clear here in Uncasville, CT. But let me assure you, no matter what the temperature outside, it will be warm and sunny in The CABARET at Mohegan Sun Casino this afternoon!

Rob and this super show have really rocked the place. Every performer likes to play to a sea of faces, and they told us in advance that "Thursday was a light day." Not this Thursday! There was a great, enthusiastic audience to greet Rob on his first night, and the show was great! But that was only Thursday. This was only for openers.

The set includes old favorites, some of them given new treatments, but this was basically a Broadway concert. We heard This is the Moment done with the passion and the heart we are so enamored of. Music of the Night, Northbound Train, Where's The Girl, Nature Boy, The Way You Look Tonight... there really is not too much I have not already said to say again. This band and Rob are amazing, in synch, in tune - they beat as one!

But there was something on this Saturday night never before in a Rob-Concert. Most of us who have had the pleasure of seeing and hearing Rob in concert have delighted in what has been called the "lullaby set." Tonight, Rob's two older sons joined him onstage, and were sung to by their talented and very proud Dad! The boys were naturals, and Rob enjoyed this 'moment' as much as the full  house did! It was a total and beautiful moment in time... wow, was it ever!

The passion that went into Delilah, Gethsemane, and I Who Have Nothing were awesome. Neil Berg's Twilight was warm and heartfelt... but New York State of Mind only set up the audience for Anthem!

Ladies and gentleman...if I say you missed an awesome and loving concert, you do not have to believe me. But do ask some of your friends who were here... it was a great and generously given concert weekend!
