Road One

It’s funny but that’s how I ALWAYS begin my digital interaction with anyone/everyone. Don’t know why. Maybe it’s a cyber tick. I AM from the South so I guess that works (even though I consider myself a proud New Yorker after 20 plus years of residence). I also don’t like to be too formal with anyone so I guess that works for that too. Anyhoo, I digress….

The above brings me to the point of this particular “bucket” on my “new and improved” personal website. The idea of including a blog (I can’t believe I just used that word) was/is multi-faceted. I want to use this as a creative outlet and really express what’s on my mind, even if it’s just for me. I am delving now more into creating new projects and I am learning that I actually enjoy the process of dreaming up and developing shows and concerts as much as I do “starring” in them.

“From the Road” is appropriately named, as I spend a great deal of my year singing for my supper around the US and the globe for that matter. There are so many pros and cons to the life of a performer. Too many to go into at this point in time. I am grateful, however, that I’ve been able to do this and only this for the past 20 years. Man, it really is a business, though. Not all lights and glam and fans, I promise you. Luckily, I have an incredible support system of family, friends and colleagues whom I love and trust.

The summer holds a great deal of both anticipation and preparation for several projects of mine. Hopefully, I’ll be able to go into more detail soon. I’m driven more than I have been in a very long time. It’s exciting for me. So much goes on in my industry, and the majority never gets to see or understand how the finished products end up before your eyes. Maybe I can help shed some light… I will do my best to update this frequently and feel free to contact us if you have any questions or ideas. Should be fun.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see some of you along the way! RE
